The 2×2 Reading List is a project of the Texas Library Association created to highlight great books for early readers. Each year a committee of librarians choose 20 new books recommended for children from age two to grade two to be featured on the reading list.

The 2×2 list was first created in 2000, meaning there are hundreds of 2×2 books to choose from in the library. Look for the spine label stickers in the library, or view the reading lists online for more ideas. 2×2 books aren’t just for little kids – these books make great choices for parents, teachers, and older students sharing books with reading buddies or younger siblings too.
